Whether you’re new to Santa photos or looking to refine your skills, this workshop is tailored to help you succeed and create enchanting images that will be cherished for years.

What to Expect

Our 1-day workshop is packed with valuable insights and hands-on experience. Here’s a breakdown of our exciting schedule:

• 9:00 am - Studio Prep and Set DesignGet a head start on creating the perfect holiday backdrop! Learn how to set up and design 3D sets that will captivate your clients and create stunning photos.

• 11:30 am - Storyline Creation and Posing TechniquesDiscover how to craft a compelling storyline with various sets, transitions, and posing techniques. I’ll share my secrets on working with Santa to capture those magical, heartwarming moments.

• 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm - Lunch Break with Q & AEnjoy a complimentary lunch and use this time to ask any burning questions you have. This is your chance to get personalized advice and insights.

• 1:30 pm - Santa and Child InteractionWatch and learn as we work with 3 different sets and models (5-8 model families total). I’ll demonstrate how to manage “mini” sessions to optimize bookings and workflow while maintaining a magical experience.

• 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Post-Processing and MarketingLearn how to turn your photos into dreamy, magical images with advanced post-processing techniques. We’ll also cover marketing strategies and product reviews to help you attract more clients.

What You’ll Receive

• Holiday Backdrop: To get you started with your own sessions.

• Complimentary Lunch and Snacks: Keep energized while you learn.

• Portfolio Opportunity: Use the images you take in your portfolio to showcase your skills!

What You Need

• Basic camera knowledge and manual mode skills.

• A 35mm or 50mm lens (I use both depending on the session).

• A laptop with Lightroom and Photoshop installed.

Cost and Registration

• Total Cost: $1,200

• Deposit: $500 non-refundable deposit required, with the remainder due 3 weeks before your scheduled date or in 2 payment installments.

• Restrictions: Due to the nature of the workshop, those within a 125-mile radius of zip code 64110 cannot participate in the editing portion but are welcome to attend the posing section. A non-compete agreement will be required.

Participants are responsible for their own accommodations and transportation. I’ll provide a list of nearby hotels, and if you're open to sharing a room, I can help facilitate arrangements.

I’m Colleen Christi, an internationally award-winning and published photographer based in Kansas City, MO. With years of experience in capturing magical moments and creating stunning holiday portraits, I’m excited to share my expertise with you.

Gary Senner, aka Santa, has been portraying Santa/Father Christmas for over 40 years, with a background in commercial photography and the film industry. Together, we’ll ensure you leave with the skills and knowledge to create extraordinary Santa photos.
